Crash-only

All hail crash-only software.

(I never do a clean shutdown of my Motorola T721 cell phone. Usually, when I'm turning it off, it's because I'm in a place that's supposed to be quiet, and I don't want the "aren't I special, I can play a shutdown tune" sound. So I just pop the battery out. All the code to do a clean shutdown is a total waste.)
