That's why I'd like to see some kind of notification system built into AdBlock. Wouldn't it be helpful to let advertisers know that you have negative attention for their goods: that those goods are explicitly unwanted?
You could even borrow the idea of Kuro5hin's ad comments and let users write in a reason for blocking the ad along with the URL when they block it.
This would be especially useful for content sites. Fake MSFT-Windows error messages or "CLICK THE MONKEY AND WIN AN IPOD" might have great click-throughs, but might not be worth it in the long run if many users choose to block your whole ad server.
