this is the reason you see the referrer.  if you link outside the ibm
domain you will see the remote web logs are missing referrer info.

in any case, i'd still like an easy solution that would allow https
sites to provide referrer and http to not.  i bet someone has a
greasemonkey script for this 6 months ago...
