No.  Nor is there mention on lease durations, timeouts, or refresh 
periods.  Horray for well-designed Microsoft APIs!

For the first I assume Add( ) will just fail, and I guess I'll just try 
a handful of random assignments until it works (I don't see any ability 
to let it pick the mapping and tell me what it picked).

For the second, no idea.
