The Solipsis Team would like to announce the release of Solipsis-0.8.

Solipsis is a massively multiparticipant virtual world
based on a peer-to-peer system (ie without servers).

Some Solipsis prominent features are:

* Scalable to millions, billions of users and entities
* Solipsis is intended to be as wide as the Web
* The virtual world is user contributed (so it is for now nearly empty)
* Solipsis is aimed for social interaction (not only for gaming)
* Open Source - Free Software - GNU Public License
* It runs on Windows, Linux  (and hopefully soon on Mac OS X)

Coming soon:
* Blog-like user profile
* File transfer
* Private chat
* Management of multiple nodes

To do list includes: VoIP, 3D View, ...
