Don,  yes!  great idea. 

Karsten's comments, also yes!

If the information (book) could be organized/formatted in a way
that is compatible to being printed on a service like LuLu or any
other low cost "print a book" service that would be desirable as
well.  

Who knows, the authors might even make some money.

Given the indecently high level of experience and knowledge of
most on this list I happily volunteer to be a tester for any chapter
as a sort of "smoke test" or feedback from a "typical reader."
