Not sure, but my NetBSD friends, when they hear mention of
FreeBSD shudder and then say something to the effect of
"FreeBSD?  Ewww.  At that point, you might as well install
Linux!".

So, as far as *they're* concerned, I think the answer is
something approaching "yes".
