It gives _some_ spammers information about messages that definitely
aren't making it through.  A large percentage of spammers have no idea
what messages are getting through and don't care enough to pay attention
to the SMTP rejection codes, they keep sending their slime _after_ the
rejection.  Start logging your SMTP sessions and you'll see.
