Ubuntu has x86_64 support, too. Tried it yesterday, but landed in a minimal
system (no X) after some errors in install.

Apropos of nothing, does anyone know whether ATIs announcement to offer much
better driver support in near future is pure vapor? Right now nVidia's
drivers seem to offer a significant performance advantage.
