[linux-elitists] rendezvous p2p update

I notice software update is a notorious bottleneck (upload 144 updates on a
fresh install of Fedora Core 1 right now); are you aware of any
plans to moving to a p2p model? BitTorrent, anything else?

There's of course some trouble with NAT traversal, but anything with a
software firewall should be easy enough to open ports for, and *nix users can
be expected to know how to open select ports on a hardware firewall.

Distributing updates on the local trusted LAN (Rendezvous?) is a breeze in
comparison.
