That's not necessarily a deal-breaker -- presumably any program
that uses the file can substitute the file's modification time for
the timestamp of any entry whose timestamp is missing or invalid.
The user should be able to just delete the timestamp when modifying
an entry by hand and let the next program that regenerates the file
do the right thing.
