Poorly legible on-screen, in practice impossible to adjust typesizes,

PDF is a fine way to deliver printables that are intended to go directly
onto paper with the exact original appearance. For all _other_ documents,
one is lead to suspect that the author isn't reviewing on-screen what he
wrote, or he'd realise just how annoying the format can be.
