That's absolutely true, but what does it have to do with Slashdot?
They, despite the motto, are not a news site, nor are their contributors
all journalists.  They're a blog.  Their only responsibility is to not
say anything that they either know to be a lie or should have known, and
that causes someone damage, and that responsibility doesn't apply to
editing the forum contents either.  They're a glorified BBS.
They've got only slightly higher journalistic standards to meet
than Crackmonkey.
