BSD running on (or rather, linked with) Mach.  With a UFS
implementation that was last updated in 1997.

Search for the Darwin project.  It's the name given to the part of Mac
OS X that is free software; basically the kernel and the BSD libraries
and userspace.  How close the current Darwin is to the current Mac OS
X I do not know.
