I use Apache's mod_proxy and mod_rewrite to act as a filtering proxy;
I quite frequently find myself grepping the access_log to find
something I was looking at a few days ago. See
<URL:http://azz.us-lot.org/adfilter.html> for the appropriate
config-file incantations. It doesn't filter cookies, though...
