Awk has long been released - apt-get install original-awk. Two historic
versions of cc have been released,

Lex and yacc have both been cloned very well by both GNU and Berkeley.

GNU ed hums along pretty well.

I really wouldn't want to see sh -- judging by experiences with
Solaris' sh.
