[linux-elitists] Plan 9

Hey, so, dumbshit me, I wasn't aware that the legendary OS from Bell
Labs, Plan 9, got re-distributed last summer under an "open source"
license:

        http://plan9.bell-labs.com/plan9dist/
        http://plan9.bell-labs.com/plan9dist/license.html

I don't see "the Plan 9 license" listed on OSI:

        http://www.opensource.org/licenses/index.html

...but I can't figure out if it's because the license doesn't meet the
Open Source Definition, or if it's just been overlooked. It seems to
be pretty clean to me, with the minor exception of some Lucida fonts
(thoughtfully called out in the license).

Anyone know the scoop?

P.S. I wrote an article for PDJ about how Plan 9 tanked:

Guess I was a little fast off the mark, there.
