The serial number thing is just a start -- the CueCat and /dev/cuecat
could be the basis for some interesting PS/2 projects.  For example,
what about hooking up a temperature probe to it for monitoring your room
or computer case?  Building a new pointing device?  A security system?
The CueCat is the beginning of a PS/2 project construction set.  (Or
USB, when that version comes out.)
